Welcome To Our Ways to Help Page At Greyhound Adoption League you'll find that the efforts of an ever-growing community are successfully working towards find homes for thousands of Tucson greyhounds retiring from racing since 1984.  Join us in our efforts!  Helping these greyhounds is satisfying.   You'll know that you've contributed to a working dog finally being able to learn to play, taste it's first treat, or investigate it's first back yard freely.  And, you'll help with our ultimate mission of giving the racing community an alternative to destroying these beautiful, gentle dogs.

	ADOPTION Greyhounds, with their unique needs and personalities, fit many people's lifestyles.  For those that do adopt a grey, they find loyal companionship, a gentle and quiet creature, and a dog with appreciation for your couch.  If you are interested in adopting, we'll be glad to discuss life with a greyhound so you can make an informed decision whether greyhound adoption is a good fit for you. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT FOSTERING VOLUNTEER Volunteers cover a wide-range of support services: Transporting greyhounds around Tucson Driving the greyhounds to satellite leagues in neighboring states Showing the greyhounds and informing the public of their needs at local Petsmart Meet'n'Greet locations Organizing fundraising events or working on fundraising committees Volunteers are the backbone of Greyhound Adoption League and without them we would not be able to achieve our goals.  A couple of hours a week can and does make the difference to our greyhounds.  Won't you become a volunteer today? 	Dear Greyhound Lover,   When you look in the eyes of a Greyhound what do you see?  What would happen to this precious animal if he were never given the opportunity to have a home? In the Southwest, the Greyhound Adoption League is a safe haven for retired Greyhounds until loving homes are found.  But we are facing some tremendous obstacles, and we need your help! We need you more than ever before. We need you more than ever before to help feed upwards of 50 dogs that come to us every month, plus supplying the dogs waiting on the list to come in. We need you more than ever before to volunteer your time to help us care for these precious creatures. We need you more than ever before to help us find loving homes for our best friends. We need you more than ever before to become a foster parent and help us change a greyhound's life forever. There are hundreds of Greys waiting to find a home.  They are waiting for you or one of your friends.  Please help us help our Greys.  Together we can keep greyhounds safe, loved and cared for until loving homes are found.  Together we can serve as ambassadors encouraging the community to embrace our wonderful companions and provide loving homes.  Together we can end the cycle of death that many Greyhounds face after their careers end.
